First edition. 2004 Caldecott Honor Book! Mo Willems’ first book and the book that introduced the world to the hilarious, inquisitive, and adventurous pigeon, who would go on to appear in 7 other books. When the bus driver has to leave his bus unattended for a short while, he asks the reader to watch things for him and – most importantly – not to let the pigeon drive the bus! The Pigeon desperately wants to have at least one ride and pleads, begs, and cajoles the reader with various excuses to drive the bus. A modern classic!
