Books of Wonder is proud to be hosting an afternoon of inspiring picture book biographies! Authors RAY ANTHONY SHEPARD, ANNETTE BAY PIMENTEL, STEPHEN COSTANZA, and JULIE LEUNG will share and discuss their new picture books, Runaway: the Daring Escape of Ona Judge, Pura's Cuentos: How Pura Belpre Reshaped Libraries with Her Stories, King of Ragtime: The Story of Scott Joplin, and The Fearless Flights of Hazel Ying Lee. You and your young readers will love sharing these powerful stories of four inspirational women and men who let nothing and no one stand in the way of their goals and dreams.
