Corners lightly rubbed, upper and lower edges a tad so, 1/8” x 2” fold at lower right edge of title, else a clean, tight copy with all mechanicals fully functional, in original color pictorial dust jacket (2½ by 2 inch closed tear at front, two letters badly rubbed in title on front cover, some general wear and tiny chips at folds and edges).
First Wehr-illustrated edition. A wonderful animated edition of the beloved fairy tale from one of the foremost American paper-engineer of the mid-20th century. This charming “animated” edition is from the height of Wehr’s illustrious career and shows the inventor (he patented it!) of the tab-driven moveable at his finest.
