Color pictorial endpapers; 27 full-page color illustrations. Spine a bit sunned with some rubbing at ends, else an internally clean, bright copy.
First edition, second printing, having open quotes at the start of p. 39 and the letter “N” present in “London” on the title page. The charming tale of a country mouse who accidentally makes his way into the city and befriends a city mouse, based on the fable by Aesop. A lovely copy of one of the final books in Potter’s beloved Peter Rabbit books. Linder p. 430, Quinby 25.
