Lower spine end rubbed, upper and corners less so, previous owner’s address sticker on ownership leaf, else a near fine copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (spine ends and corners a bit worn, folds a bit rubbed, spine slightly sunned, rear panel lightly soiled, price-clipped).
Ca. 1962 b&w reprint featuring the Dick Martin cover. King Rinkitink and his surly goat, Bilbil, help Prince Iga of Pingaree rescue his people. Originally written as a non-Oz story named “King Rinkitink” around 1905, Baum adapted into an Oz story by having a few Oz characters come to the rescue at the story’s end when he needed a book for 1916.
