Michael Hague (1948-) is an American illustrator, perhaps best known for his work on The Wind in the Willows, whose intricate pen work and lush watercolors create immersize, atmospheric scenes, populated with compelling characters. Hague's talent for realizing the fantastic makes us believe in this Dolittle and his band of animal companions, while placing the odd group within a beautifully treated and realized scene.
