Author/illustrator KAM REDLAWSK is joining us in-store with her touching picture book: Yumi and Monster. In this story, Yumi, a young girl with a passion for exploring, begins to feel weaker and weaker after the quiet appearance of a strange monster. It takes an unforgettable journey through the snowy woods for her to understand what Monster wants...and to learn to embrace a new kind of life.

KAM REDLAWSK is a multi-award-winning disabled industrial designer, artist, rare disease and disability advocate -- and this tale is a beautiful expression of living with a disability. She'll be joined by LORYN BRANTZ, author/illustrator of Poems of Parenting. It's a poignant collection of poetry and art that chronicles the ups and downs of the rollercoaster ride that is parenthood. Grab a seat and listen in as they discuss art, writing, and everything in between!

Tuesday, September 16th at 5pm at Our 17th St Store!
