Missing Momma by WINSOME BINGHAM and illustrated by RAHELE JOMEPOUR-BELL. When Momma comes home from a long deployment, however, something has changed. Our narrator, Momma’s “Baby," misses the big hugs, uniform fashion shows, and music mornings they used to share. And she really misses planting vegetables together. Now her Momma won’t even come out to the garden. But maybe, just maybe, she can bring the garden to Momma.

Life is Beautiful by WINSOME BINGHAM. Every week, Granny Dee takes three trains and one bus to have a weekend full of TV-watching, bubble-bathing, nail-painting, day-tripping, and living LIFE with her granddaughter. Granny Dee always says, “Everybody should enjoy life. Life is beautiful.” But when Granny Dee gets too old to travel so far, the little girl and her momma travel to Granny Dee. Can they still make wonderful memories now that things are different?
- The Table by WINSOME BINGHAM. For years, a mining family’s life revolves around their table. It’s where they eat, read, sew, and laugh. But when the mine closes, the family has to move on, and leave the table behind. When a young girl’s father sees the table by the road, they bring it home and clean it up; sitting around it, they eat and work and laugh. The girl wonders if another child once sat there, if they were anything like her. She’ll never know... but the table remembers.
