The Magic of Family

Join us in-store for an incredible storytime with MAYRA CUEVAS, author of My Abuela Is A Bruja! In this touching picture book, a young girl suspects that her grandma is a witch because of how much magic she puts into everything from cooking to gardening to dancing. Set in Puerto Rico, it's a beautifully illustrated testament to the long line of Taíno women who have passed down so many incredible traditions — and to the grandmothers who add so much magic to life.

Grab a seat for a wonderful reading, after which we'll be having a craft activity! Your young ones will delight in decorating their own biodegradable pot with colors and stickers and, finally, planting a seed. It's going to be a terrific morning!
