An Explosive Celebration

Books of Wonder is proud to host many marvelous recipients of the Caldecott Medal, one of the highest honors awarded to brilliantly crafted picture books. Come in to hear from illustrator CÁTIA CHIEN and author MATTHEW BURGESS for a celebration of their 2026 Caldecott Medal book, Fireworks! They'll be joined by fellow Caldecott medalists fo years past including DOUG SALATI, author-illustrator Hot Dog, SOPHIE BLACKALL, author-illustrator of Hello lighthouse and illustrator of Finding Winnie, BRIAN FLOCA, author of Locomotive; and PAUL ZELINSKY, author-illustrator of Rapunzel.

You won’t want to miss the chance to meet, greet, and congratulate these spectacular creators!
