Books of Wonder is proud to present author CARLOS HERNANDEZ for Sal & Gabi Break the Universe.

When Gabi Reál saw the raw chicken planted in her friend's locker, she knew Sal Vidón was responsible... she just wasn't sure how. Sal prides himself on being an excellent magician, but he didn't use slight of hand or misdirection to pull off this stunt. No, for this latest trick Sal used something a little harder to explain: just a slight manipulation of time and space. But that's hardly the oddest thing going on in their Miami neighborhood. The principal wears a Venetian Carnival mask, Sal's physicist dad is building a rememberation machine in the living room, and their teacher, Dr. Doctorpants, dresses like a gumball machine every day. As Gabi gets to know Sal and his powers, they come up with different ways to use it, but too much bending of reality might lead to it breaking!
