Spine ends a tad rubbed, a few tiny spots to top edge of sheets but not affecting interior, endpapers a tad discolored, else a clean, bright copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (faint creasing to spine ends).

First edition US issue. First appearing in The Strand in 1899 and then in 1901 as The Book of Dragons, these magical and wondrous stories show E. Nesbit at the height of her prodigious imagination. This collection, with charming illustrations from Erik Blegved, also features the story “The Last of the Dragons” from the author’s posthumously published Five of Us – and Madeline.
