With beautiful and delicate b&w illustrations by Caldecott Medalist Maurice Sendak. This was the first children’s book by Nobel Award-winning author, Isaac Bashevis Singer. Like all his books, he wrote this first in Yiddish, then translated – with the aid of Elizabeth Shub – into English for publication. Also, the first signed limited edition ever done by Sendak.
