First edition, being one of 3,000 copies bound in red, blue or green leather. Milne’s first book of stories featuring the now-beloved inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood. Following the astounding and unexpected success of Milne’s and Shepard’s first collaboration, the poetry collection When We Were Very Young, this book was published to great fanfare and was an immediate success.
