The fourth and final of multi-award-winning author Philip Pullman’s Sally Lockhart books 16-year-old Sally Lockhart was originally created by Pullman for a play he wrote for a performance by a secondary school, but he was so attracted to the character that he ended up adapting the play as a children’s book and writing three sequels.
