Pictorial endpapers printed in three colors; three-color illustrations on every page. Spine ends lightly rubbed, corners less so, light discoloration at hinges (probably due to the binder’s glue used), else a clean, bright copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (a few tiny closed tears at top of front panel and some light edgewear). Inscribed by Dr. Seuss on the front free endpaper with a small doodle!

First edition. Theodore “Seuss” Geisel almost always signed books on the back of the front free endpaper, this copy is inscribed within two small signs drawn onto the antlers of the illustration of Thidwick on the front free endpaper – a trues Seuss rarity. With Seuss's rhyming text and endearing illustrations, this beloved story about a kindhearted moose and the bullies that make a home on his horns is a delight. A wonderful copy of one of Dr. Seuss’s earliest picture books!
