First edition. A delightful tale from the author of Little Black Sambo about a young black girl who loves to read. When some hungry tigers disrupt her in her task, she gets her friend’s help to devise a path to escape. A wonderful association copy of this charming tale lovingly inscribed by Bannerman to her brother: “C.B.B. Watson, with love from the writer. 6 Feb. 1909.” Books inscribed by Bannerman are very scarce!
