Inscribed and dated “1911” by the artist, Edmund Dulac, with a 2.75” drawing! With an advertisement for the gallery exhibit of the artwork for this book laid in.

Dulac’s lush and transporting watercolor illustrations perfectly capture the magic and wonder of these beloved tales. Dulac has sketched, first in pencil then in ink, a drawing of the emperor from The Nightingale on the title page of this attractive copy!
