[WORLD OF OZ]. Scarecrow Wooden Doll. A hand-crafted 18” articulated wooden doll of the Scarecrow from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Crafted with wooden dowels and metal connectors to allow the limbs to be moveable. This hand-painted wood doll is decorated with twine, straw, and felt, as well as wooden crows attached with wire (so as to appear in flight). This hand-crafted doll came from the collection of Newbery Medalist Nancy Willard, who was also an artist and craftsperson. 

 

[WORLD OF OZ]. Wicked Witch Wooden Doll. A hand-crafted 18” articulated wooden doll of the Wicked Witch from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Crafted with wooden dowels and metal connectors to allow the limbs to be moveable. This hand-painted wood doll is decorated with straw, buttons and felt. This hand-crafted doll came from the collection of Newbery Medalist Nancy Willard, who was also an artist and craftsperson.

Crafted with wooden dowels and metal connectors to allow the limbs to be moveable. This hand-painted wood doll is decorated with ribbon, buttons and glitter for her ruby slippers. This hand-crafted doll came from the collection of Newbery Medalist Nancy Willard, who was also an artist and craftsperson.

Crafted with wooden dowels and metal connectors to allow the limbs to be moveable. This hand-painted wood doll is decorated with cotton, golden tuille, and cardstock golden paper. This hand-crafted doll came from the collection of Newbery Medalist Nancy Willard, who was also an artist and craftsperson.
