First edition, published the year after the author’s death. Originally intended as the opening section of McGraw’s previous Oz novel, The Forbidden Fountain of Oz, this tale remained unpublished until it appeared in Eric Shanower’s Oz-Story Magazine in 2000. This first, hardcover edition was produced the following year and includes Eisner Award-winning comic author and artist Eric Shanower’s illustrations throughout. When the rest of his travelling troupe of marionettes are turned into inanimate objects by the malicious magician Slyddwyn, Poco must figure out how to obtain and use the magical Rundelstone in order to set everything right once again.
