[RETURN TO OZ]. Return to Oz Sticker, Bubble Gum, and Story Card Sets in original promotional display box. Duryea, PA: Topps Chewing Gum [1985]. A color pictorial counter display box containing 36 wax packs each covered in one of four designs related to the Walt Disney movie, Return to Oz. Each wax pack contains six color printed cards – showing either a captioned still from the film or one piece of a 10-piece puzzle that assembles to form a larger image (also a still from the film) – and each with a peel off color sticker from the movie on the back of the card. And, of course, each pack include a stick of bubble gum. A total of 216 individual story cards/stickers are contained in the 36 wax packs in the box. As each of the individual packages are unopened, we cannot say how many of each of the 44 cards that were created by Topps for this edition are contained in the box. The box shows light wear around the edges, but was never folded for display, and each of the internal wax packs are unopened and have not been handled. While we have seen individual cards and wax packs on the market, we can find no other unopened boxes available.
