Prospectus for Barry Moser’s The Holy Bible issued to collectors prior to the release of the first edition. A 16-page prospectus detailing the production and features of the lavishly crafted bible by noted engraver and printer Barry Moser. The prospectus goes into great detail about the printing and engraving process, the design, paper, and history of the press as well as featuring 7 of the engravings that would appear in the finished book. There is also a fold-out sheet printed in letterpress on the fine linen paper described in the prospectus, featuring one of the display words created by letter cutter John Benson (most famous for his lettering on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial) for this bible. An elaborate prospectus highlighting the lavish crafting and incredible workmanship that went into the Pennyroyal Bible, which had a primary edition published at $10,000, and a deluxe edition at $30,000.
