A clean, tight copy, spine ends and corners slightly bumped, ghost of dust jacket’s spine image on spine, in original color pictorial dust jacket (spine ends and corners lightly worn, rear panel lightly soiled).

First edition, third printing,  issued 9 years after the first UK edition. The US printings never had the map endpapers or color plate frontispiece by Pauline Baynes. The second book published in C.S. Lewis’ beloved The Chronicles of Narnia. The Pevensie siblings travel back to Narnia to find that though only a year has passed in Britain, 1,000 years have passed in Narnia. Now they must help an exiled prince defeat his usurper and restore Narnia to the talking animals. The basis for the film.
