Corners and spine ends quite worn, spine rubbed and sunned, covers lightly so, rear external hinge splitting, tear mended at spine. Nonetheless, an internally clean, tight copy.
First edition, first state (with pp 135-136 and 153-154 integral, the “O” in “Ozma” present on line 5 of pp 11, illustration on pp 221 in color, and listing only two titles in rear advt.), binding B, spine imprint reading “Reilly & Britton.” Dorothy’s return to Oz, her discovery of Tiktok, reunion with her old friends, and introduction to Princess Ozma are threatened by our first encounter with that most mischievous of persons, the Nome King.
