Pictorial endpapers in blue ink on pale yellow sheets; 18 full-page and numerous smaller b&w illustrations.  Spine ends a tad rubbed, bookplate and embossed stamp from previous owner on endpapers and in upper margin of title, else a clean, bright copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (lightly rubbed at folds and edges, some light soiling at rear, price-clipped).

First edition. The ninth book in Walter R. Brooks humorous series following the adventures of Freddy the Pig. Freddy, ducks Alice and Emma, and the Webb spiders are cast on a voyage when a fairground balloon will not return to the ground. Days later after landing, Freddy must confront the dishonest balloon owner.
