Also included is a facsimile of pages from the Book of Mazarbul, created by Tolkien to accompany the famous “Bridge of Khazad-dum” chapter and, appearing for the first time, a removable facsimile of the "King's Letter" that appears in the rejected epilogue to The Lord of the Rings, written in Elvish and send by King Elessar to Sam. Also appearing are two poster-size, fold-out maps revealing all the detail of Middle-earth.

This beautiful volume comes bound with a red leather spine featuring raised ribs elegantly stamped in gold foil and fine black cloth covers stamped in red and gold foil. The pages are all edge in gold and include a ribbon marker, And the book is housed in a custom die-cut clothbound slipcase stamped in gold foil.
