Green marbled endpapers; b&w photograph frontispiece and 20 hand-tipped full-color plates. An internally bright, clean copy with light sunning to spine, light spotting to rear board, slight warping to front board, bearing previous owner's bookplate affixed to the front fixed endpaper.

First Edition. A book collecting Kate Greenaway's never-before-published pictures. All the illustrations in this book are presented as beautiful, full-color, hand-tipped plates. Kate Greenaway was a contemporary of Randolph Caldecott and is considered one of the preeminent early British children's book illustrators.
