Edward Fitzgerald's free translation of the skeptical, hedonistic verse attributed to Omar Khayyám (10481122), Persian mathematician, astronomer, and philosopher. This edition incorporates Fitzgerald's handwritten changes in the 4th edition as an addendum to the end of the work, as well as the full text of his original translation.
