In Through a Clouded Mirror, after moving away from everything she's ever known, Yuki hates where she and her family have ended up. Her best friend both forgets to keep in touch and has developed a crush on Yuki's worst enemy! To make matters even worse, she doesn't fit in at school and hasn't made any friends, except for the shopkeeper at a local Japanese antiques store. This store also happens to have an ancient brass mirror supposedly once owned by a celebrated Japanese writer, and is rumored to be a portal to Shonagon’s world, which only opens every hundred years. So when a woman with long, jet-black hair and flowing silk robes appears in the glass, beckoning, Yuki knows there’s only one thing to do…
