Gorgeous Picture Books for Autumn!

As the calendar turns, so begins classes, special holidays, and a brand new season of reading. Why not celebrate September tidings with a virtual picture book read-aloud from your friends at Books of Wonder?

We are delighted to present six talented authors and illustrators, who will talk about what influenced their work! There will also be opportunities to preview their illustrations and order books for you and your littlest reader directly from our site. 

Be sure to join us for this great weekend virtual event, featuring:

  • The Birthday of the World  by RACHEL REMEN. Fall for this beautiful retelling of a timeless story about finding light in the darkness, one spark at a time.           
  • Brave Dave by GILES ANDREAE and GUY PARKER-REES. Brave Dave is the joy-filled story of a bear named Dave and his too-cool older brother, Clarence. Follow Dave as he discovers the importance of simply being himself, with plenty of laughs along the way!         
  • It's Diwali by KABIR SEHGAL and SURISHTHA SEHGALCount up to ten and back down again to the tune of “One, Two, Buckle My Shoe” while learning about the traditions that make Diwali a fun-filled festival!

  • Measuring a Year: A Rosh Hashanah Story by LINDA ELOVITZ MARSHALL and ZARA GONZALEZ HOANG. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, a special day that invites every reader to take stock of happy times, occasional regrets, and all the new friends made and new skills gained over the year!
