Books of Wonder is thrilled to be hosting a celebration of this year's Caldecott medal and honor illustrators and their amazing books!

The Caldecott Medal — the most prestigious award in illustrated children's literature — is awarded each year to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children. This year, the Caldecott Medal was won by JASON CHIN, the illustrator of the moving and gorgeous picture book Watercress! JASON CHIN will be joining this Books of Wonder Caldecott panel, as he discusses his work with the other award-winning illustrators being celebrated.

This year's Caldecott Honor illustrators were:

FLOYD COOPER, the illustrator of Unspeakable : The Tulsa Race Massacre (sadly, Floyd Cooper passed away before the award was presented, and he will be represented by CAROLE BOSTON WEATHERFORD, the author of Unspeakable : The Tulsa Race Massacre),

SHAWN HARRIS, the illustrator of Have You Ever Seen a Flower?and

MICHA ARCHER, the illustrator of Wonder Walkers.

(Additionally, COREY R. TABOR was awarded a Caldecott Honor for Mel Fell, but is unfortunately unable to participate in this event.)

Don't miss this unbelievable, star-powered celebration, and your chance to meet some of the best illustrators of today!

Saturday, March 26th at 1:00pm via Crowdcast.
