Of those who cannot read or write, two-thirds are women and girls.

Girl Scout Brownie Troop #3463 is lending a hand to promote global literacy at its second annual Milk & Bookies fundraiser on Sunday, May 17th at Books of Wonder. Join us for read-a-louds, arts and crafts, delicious Girl Scout cookies and serious fun as we party at the store and donate books to a Broadway Housing Communities an organization which addresses homelessness by promoting hope, stability and dignity. Last year’s event raised over 400 children’s books. With your help, we’ll double that number this year!
